First off I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I pray that your Christmas was filled with food, family, love, and happiness! Can you believe that the year is almost over? This year has flown on by. I hope that I have entertained you with some fabulous outfits and hopefully I inspired a lot of my BBB's to step out of their fashion comfort zones! I wanted to leave this year with breaking the rules again. Over a year ago, I started this blog with wearing a crop top ( see here) so it was only fitting to leave this year with another crop top. Hey Guys!! Miss me? Well I have certainly missed you guys. I hope you liked my last post about "Blogging with Skeletons in your Closet!" I got some great feedback mostly from emails. I know most were probably thinking, um we want to see CLOTHES! Well here you go! I wore this actually on Saturday. I went to the Vegas Strip to do some shopping. BIG MISTAKE! It was too crowded. I realize now that I have a phobia of shopping. I would prefer to shop online. Crazy right! The problem with shopping online is you might pick up the wrong size and have to send things back. For instance these fabulous boots I'm wearing are from Forever 21. Normally I wear a size 10 in shoes but in boots an 11. So I ordered the boots in an 11 and they were too small. Unfortunately, I can't even send them back due to Forever 21 crazy exchange and return policy. Blogging with Skeletons in Your Closet.....

Hey readers and subscribers! Happy Holidays! So today I wanted to blog a little different. No outfit post no pictures, just my thoughts and words. I was talking to a friend recently and she mentioned to me that she couldn't see herself being a blogger. I asked why she felt that way, and she simply stated " Girl I did to many things in my past to be parading around on the Internet. Someone might recognize me."

Its funny because when those words left her mouth I remember my body started to process my own fear. My hands started to sweat and my throat got dry due to memories of my past flashing before my eyes. Never in a million years have I thought of the repercussions of my past affecting blogging. It wasn't even a thought! I just wanted to blog and show-case my sense of style. But after my friend said that I started to wonder, do other bloggers have this same fear? You know the fear of an ex trying to "expose" you, or the gripping truth of  "the other woman" posing as a subscriber. And a bitter ex friend who knows all your secrets and has a platform to reveal them. I know a majority of bloggers get some hate from Instagram, Facebook, or Tumblr, but how do you process that hate when there is someone who tries to demise your character with things from your past?

 

 

 



So far my blogging experience has been pleasant. Since I'm working from a smaller platform of viewers and readers the coast has been clear from trolls, scrubs, and Internet thugs. Oh but do trust that there never goes a day when I check my emails or read comments that I don't get anxiety about someone dissing me or write a dissertation of when I hook up with an ex from 10 years ago. Although I'm not much of fan, I couldn't imagine what it was like for Kim Kardashian  to have an actually porn tape and still try to build a brand. So I want to know your thoughts on the subject, especially from fellow bloggers. Do you have fear of expanding your blog due to skeletons in your closet? Have you ever been confronted with a viewer who tried to expose you? How would you handle if someone tried to expose you on your blog, Instagram, or Facebook?

Men's Wear Outfit # 3

Okay today is my last Men's Wear Outfit! I appreciate all of you who have visited or even left a comment. I really thank you guys!! Now since it's my last outfit for this series I decided to go a little bit more dramatic. I wore a man's cardigan from H&M and a white linen shirt from Old Navy. Once again ladies I took only a few pieces from a man's wardrobe and to made it my own! Now the show stopper was my fabulous sequined skirt from Forever 21! This will forever be one of my favorite purchases from them! This whole look could be worn for any occasion! Simply by adding or removing pieces from this look you can go to daytime or nighttime in an instance! My whole purpose of this series was to show you that you can take simply pieces from your man's closet and make it your own. Now all you have to do is avoid hearing your man now complain about his missing shirt! I hope you ladies got inspired and please come back for more of my outfits!!!

Men's Wear Outfit #2....

Hello Ladies! And welcome back to my Men's Wear Series!! This outfit consist of a man's printed shirt! You might remember this shirt from my post labeled " Lumber Jill" . I decided to revamp the look by using the same shirt ,my nice army green pencil skirt from Forever 21, and my trench coat from Old Navy! This outfit would be perfect for an office look! Now when it comes to wearing your husbands skirt you can wear it as I did as a shirt or if it's to big you can simply add a belt to create a nice skirt dress! Also remember the fun in wearing their clothes is to take pieces of their wardrobe and incorporate them into your outfit. It's not to wear everything from head to toe from your man's closet. Men's Wear Outfit # 1....

Ladies I wanted to come up with another fun way to stretch your closet and your dollars! Now I wanted to get creative by wearing clothes from a man's closet. Yep... I wear men's clothes! I know some of you women aren't BBB's (Big Boned Beauties) so I still think there are ways for you to turn your man's clothes into something wearable for you too!! My first outfit I decided to take a man's sweater that I got from Old Navy and pair it with some jeans and a nice buttoned up shirt underneath the sweater. I added a couple of pearl necklaces to add to my preppy casual outfit. Now ladies, I understand not everyone can fit their man's clothes but take what I did for instance, I wore a sweater as a top. Now if the clothes are way larger than you use his sweater as a dress! Just add some legging to make it like a tunic or if it's really big wear his sweater and add some thigh high boots to it!! So ladies get inspire and let's play dress with or men's clothes!! Hope to see you tomorrow I have another Men's Wear Outfit!!

Wearing all black, you can do no wrong!! I went out with my family yesterday and to say I got plenty of looks was an understatement!! I finally added an H&M piece to my closet and it was this amazing sweater!! I can't wait to rock it over and over!! No need to elaborate more. This looks speaks for itself. All black everything equals HOTNESS!!

One Skirt....Three Ways

I have found that being on Instagram and having so much inspiration there, IG can make you broke. How, you ask, well everyone never seems to rock the same outfit twice thus making it very difficult to want to recycle certain pieces of clothing. Well I wanted to show you ways to revamp items that can be worn differently. So the item I used was a cobalt skirt from Forever 21 that I purchased  for only $12. SCORE!! Outfit #1  I paired it with a men's striped collar shirt, a pearl necklace, and my favorite Charlottte Russe transparent heels. Outfit #2 I paired it with a beautiful green teal cardigan I picked up from Forever 21, a beautiful statement necklace, and my new mesh strapped heels. Outfit #3 I basically went for a little color blocking with this outfit. I took a beautiful orange top from Forever 21, added my favorite gold chain and throw on some hot leopard heels to finish out this outfit. So ladies recycle  your clothes and make them unique with each wear. Trust me your bank account will be thanking you!!!

Paisley, prints, and peplum, perhaps? LOL. Yesterday me and the hubby went out for dinner and before we left I made him do a mini photo shoot. And trust me he complained the entire time. LOL! But enough about my grumpy photographer, on to the outfit. I picked up my adorable paisley printed pants online from Forever 21, and when I got them they were on sale for $7 with the BOGO sale a while back!! SCORE!! Now believe it or not but I have never worn a peplum top even though it is a trend that everyone has done. So I decided to pick up this cute peplum top also from Forever 21 and added it with a beautiful turquoise statement necklace, a clutch, and some black sandals.

It's a Black & White Thing....

Ok it has been almost a month since my last blog entry and did you miss me? I have still been running around trying to adjust to Vegas living. So far so good, but its a major adjustment! Anywho on to the outfit. I wanted to look very "mod-ish" with this black and white ensemble. I recently picked up this chic jacket from Forever 21 and paired it with one of my favorite body con skirts from Its Fashion. It sucks because there are no Dots, Its Fashion, or Image in Vegas, so I guess I will be shopping even more on Forever 21 and online shops. So I added the cobalt blue clutch from Forever 21 for a pop of color and chunky statement necklace. Viva Las Vegas....

We finally made it to the Sin City! Whew! It was a task I tell you, but we have finally settled into our new home and we are loving it so far. I  really want to thank my readers and subscribers for continuing to support my blog. I know I don't post as much as I like, but for some reason I'm still getting a lot of page views and I really appreciate it! Now since the move I have to admit I have been looking a hot mess. Hey....moving across the country doesn't require you to wear some pumps and makeup! So after a week I said screw the sweatpants with the no make up look, I wanted to get beautiful. I have really been striving to keep my looks simple but with a pop! The skirt came from Forever 21 and I paired it with a flowy top from Dots. Hello to my subscribers and readers!! Yesterday I received an email from a reader in regards to how I embrace being a "big boned" woman. I told her about my struggles as a teen and what I had to do to overcome them. I pretty much relied on a special family member to allow me to see the bigger picture when it came to vanity. Put it this way, if you are blessed enough to wake up and breathe on your own, or use your hands to brush your teeth, or even be able to put your clothes on without any type of assist you should be thankful! There should never be a time to question your beauty or size when you are so fortunate with other blessing! I'm saying this to say LOVE YOURSELF, and this is especially to my BBB's (Big Boned Beauties). So I challenge you ladies, this week tell a random stranger how great they look and make someone else feel great about themselves. Saying that to someone goes a long way!!! What can I say, blue was the color of the day! I went out with the kiddos to go see Despicable Me 2 and this is what I wore. I wanted to be cute and casual. I picked up the blue skater dress from Forever 21, which was about $16 and paired it with some sandals I picked up when I went home a few weeks ago. They were literally $5 bucks, at Shu Deal. God I miss that shoe store. The little clutch was from Its Fashion that I got on sale for $4.99. So all together I spent under $30, after that these buys you can say I wasn't feeling so "blue" anymore!! Hope you fashionista like!!

I know what you are thinking, you guys are saying this big girl is at it again with these darn belly showing tops, LOL!! Well I can't help it! LOL. Yes I'm back showing my abs. LOL!! I took my bikini top that I got with my #FATKINI from Forever 21 and rocked it as a casual top for a day out with the kiddos. I added my wide leg pants that I got last year from Forever 21 and my tribal shawl from Dots to finish the look.. I have two rules for rocking my crop tops .When I want to wear a crop top I wear some type of shawl, vest, or jacket to make it a little more demure, and it also helps to hide my " back fat" or bulges . Also I will wear a higher waisted pant or skirt to show just a peek of belly without over doing it.  So to my Big Boned Beauties rock your crop tops!!!

P.S. I recently just got back from Dallas to see my mother. And I will say that miracles do exist. Thank you to all my readers and subscribers for all the prayers and support. So today I decided to wear a cute little nautical inspired look. Of course I wanted to add some edge to it. I decided to wear my messenger bag as a fanny pack. Look don't hate the fanny! Don't a little sparkle make you smile? I have been  in a pretty down mood ever since my mother had a mild stroke two days ago. So I decided to add some sparkle to my outfit to "spark" up my mood. I'm so grateful that she is healing and doing alot better! God is amazing! Now to my outfit I made the vest the statement piece and decided to simplify my accessories. I have been doing that alot, simplifying my look. So I hope you like! And lovebugs please say a little prayer for my mother and my family, thank God she didn't have a major stroke, so just lift us up in prayer. Until next post....

Chinese Wedding BBB Style.........

Nǐ Hǎo, or hello to my wonderful readers and subscribers. It has been way to long hasn't it? Well  I'm happy to be back blogging. I have a new camera , so I'm hoping that I won't have any more interruptions with blogging again. Well on Saturday I went to my very first Chinese wedding. It was AH-MAZING. Now if you haven't been to an Asian wedding just be prepared to feast. Food and drinks were coming from left and right. I knew we had at least 7 courses. It was almost never ending!!! I was invited by a lovely woman who saw me at a kid's birthday party. She asked me if I was interested in attending and of course I was. For all you fashion heads prints are in! Recognize I'm Baaaaack (in my T.I. voice)!!! Hello subscribers and readers alike. Welcome back to my blog. Look, I know I have been a bad blogger but life had gotten in the way. For starters 2 weeks ago my 2nd mother passed away. She was actually my mother's best friend, but I called her momma too. Can you say heartbroken! She was such a beautiful person and had a lovely spirit! I will always remember her laughter being the sweetest sound. Rest In Peace Delores Abrams I love you and will eternally miss you until I join you! Now to be honest with you prior to Delores' passing, I had been in such in a funk and was so uninspired. To this day I feel it was a sign of grieve to come but who knows. I really wasn't going to post anything for a while but I could hear Delores telling me" girl you better keep doing what you love to do, which is to dress your butt off!" So with that being said I hope I did her justice with this OOTD!

Are you ready for some football?!! Well today is Superbowl Sunday and I wanted to give you team spirit realness. So unfortunately my team, DALLAS COWBOYS, won't make an appearance, but I have always been a Ray Lewis fan. So I guess the "R" in my jacket stands for the Raven or maybe Ray! LOL! So once again I'm showing my bubble belly *coughs six pack abs (shown HERE first)  in  this regular shirt which I made into a crop top. I have had my varsity jacket since September and I wear it everywhere, especially when I want to be casual yet sporty. I got the jacket from Dots, and I got my graphic print palazoo pants from Its Fashion. They were on sale for $7.99. SCORE! So tonight I will be hosting a Superbowl party for some friends! So with that being said Go Raven (only for tonight)!!!

OK quick outfit post. I wore this yesterday to run to the store! The entire time I was there I got so many compliments on this dress. I wasn't really planning on taking pictures in my "basic" outfit but hey I'm suppose to showcase my everyday style, right? What's up readers and subscribers!! You liking my neon outfit?!! I wear this for my- normal -running- errands- day except I didn't have my kiddos, so I could "spice" up my outfit with my hooker heels. LOL! I wore an $8 dollar sweatshirt I got from Walmart from the men's section. SCORE!! I paired my lime neon colored skirt from Forever 21 (worn HERE) and a neon fringed necklace from Its Fashion for those pops of neon color! Remember my hooker heels I told you about? Well I'm starting to get used to them, although after the second errand was done I had my handy dandy flats in the car. LOL! Hey I lasted at least an hour in those heels! And if you haven't noticed I have longer hair. Now to be honest with you it has been while since I had longer hair. Prior to me shaving my hair and being natural I stopped from wearing long weaves and wigs, but darn it I'm a Pisces and I needed a change, so voila!

*Cue in Tony Toni Tone song* It's my Anniversary, yeahhh, Anniversary!!! Well hello  blog fam! Today is my 4 year wedding anniversary!! Hooray! My husband and I celebrated last night at a beautiful restaurant in Charlotte called City Tavern! I wanted to dine in something simple and elegant so I decided all black with a red lip ensemble would definitely keep my husband's attention!  I wear a LBD from Forever 21 that I got last year for only $12.99. SCORE!! The shoes were also from Forever 21, and I got them for $11.99. Double SCORE!! My entire outfit excluding my Michael Kors watch was literally under $50! That's a Triple SCORE!!!! For appetizers I had bacon-wrapped scallops. For my entree' I had Tuscan Filet Mignon on a beefsteak tomato & fresh mozzarella, served with Parmesan mashed potatoes & grilled asparagus, and for my dessert I had Crème Brulee!! Oh I'm fancy huh?! LOL! We had a beautiful night!!

Hello subbies and readers! Okay with the outfit I feel like I'm giving Lumber Jack realness!! But for the sake of my gender I shall be Lumber Jill! I mentioned this before I think, but when I dress I like to come up with themes in my mind and than I try and presented it with my clothes. For instance if I'm feeling Parisian, I would wear stripes with a red lips and a beret ,something very chic and simple. Well this is an outfit that showed my theme thinking ways! So I got an Old Navy Men's shirt (my hubby's) and paired it with my favorite little vest also from Old Navy. I added jeans to keep it casual and than added my new open toe pumps that I got from amiclubwear.com to keep it feminine. Did I mention the shoes were one sale for $7.99. SCORE!!!! I finished the look off with some simple plum earrings from Forever 21 and my handy dandy Michael Kors watch!! So tell me subbies or readers how do you come up with outfit choices? Do you get inspired by someones outfit choice but choose to add you own za za zoom to it? Or is it just an idea to match or do you like to come up with themes too? Talk to me!

Hello my beautiful people!! Thanks for stopping by my blog to catch another one of my OOTD!! I would like to personally thank my newer subscribers for joining my blog!! And if you have been to my blog before and would like to join its over  ========>!!! So today I keep it very basic and I let my Forever 21 white jacket be the statement piece. I got this jacket like a year ago and it was a $14.99. SCORE!! I paired it with some black leggings and my favorite hi-lo top from Its Fashion,  also worn HERE. As far as the turban, I was having a I-don't-want-to-do-my-hair-day so I wrapped my leopard scarf around my hair to add a print to the fit. I hope you guys like it!!

Something Old and Something Blue....

Peace and greetings to my subscribers and readers!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! How you doing?(insert Wendy Williams voice). I hope everyone have a wonderful and beautiful upcoming year!! Now to the outfit! I picked up the blue sheer top from Its Fashion and it was on sale for $7.99. SCORE! I added a beautiful necklace also from Its Fashion, that was only $3.99. Double SCORE!! Now the shoes I got them from amiclubwear.com. They were having 50% off the entire website right after Christmas, so I paid only $19.99 for them. Triple SCORE!! I have to be real with you, the shoes are toooo high! I can't believe I just said that. Now people who know me know I live for hooker shoes (hooker shoes- shoes with 5 plus inches) but honey chile I was taking baby steps the whole night!! But being fabulous does have it cons and one of them is PAIN!! The outfit was finished with a black skirt and my favorite jacket from Forever 21.
